The DC2 coolers are coming into their own. Finally the die area is larger on the 780↑ and 290↑ so the heat pipes come in full contacct with the GPU.

EX: GTX 680 DC2T only had two of the four in contact with the GPU.

Recently decided to OC my GPU after getting some seriously laggy frame rates in Battlefield 4, as I used Valley to test stability and gains I decided to share my results here. As a complete noob (now prob more of a novice) I was frightened by the idea of overclocking but I was so shocked at the insane amount of free performance to be gained from it I'm now a massive fan of overclocking! 😀

The stock scores seem really low. Go to the first page and you'll see "nitrium" having the same problems with a 7950. A 200MHz OC shouldn't net you a 40% increase in FPS. There's an underlying problem...

Yep its the lowest I have ever seen on a 7950... but it's sort of a blessing in disguise as I probably wouldn't have gotten into the whole overclocking thing if it hadn't performed so poorly. And now it's running beautifully, creeping up on dem 7970's. 😉

edit: actually a 400mhz overclock on the core, 50% OC does add quite a couple more frames...

Bandi79, i5 750 @ 3,6 GHz, Asus HD 5850 (reference) at 950 / 1250, 24FPS, score 1004

Finally the old HD 5850 went above 1000 points :)
It hit 82°C at the end with the fan screaming at 68% (Afterburner custom fan curve)

This is pretty nifty. I will be downloading this benchmark tonight and hopefully get a post on this thread. 4770K @ 4.3Ghz and 2x EVGA 760 2GB OC editions with ACX in 2-way SLI.

My ultra slim laptop....terrible of course.

Pressing F12 in the benchmark should take a screenshot.

You can save it as a html file and then take a snip with Windows 7's inbuilt snipping tool.
