I was told that the GIGABYTE A320M-S2H would support 3rd gen ryzen processors if updated to the right BIOS version so I bought a Ryzen 5 3500x since i can't really afford anything more than that, anyway I removed my Ryzen 3 2200G and replaced it with the latter but got a black screen but moving fans and lights (no lights on keyboard and mouse tho), checked my mobo version and it wasn't updated so I figured all I needed to do was to update it, so I updated it up to version F53 which is the latest and still got black screen with fans and lights (aside from keyboard and mouse) , tried reverted to F40 (the update that introduces 3rd gen support) and still black screened, went back to my Ryzen 3 2200G and now its working perfectly, could it be the CPU? Or is the motherboard just too old despite the BIOS updates? Thank you to anyone who answers it's very appreciated!

(I also tried swapping ram sticks, leaving 1 in and reseating, also tried changing hard drives and reformating a spare, black screen ONLY occurs on swapping CPUs)

i do have 1 stick but it’s not a well known brand from kingston, i tested and still nothing, any reason why it could be a ram problem? i had issues with my ram before causing bsod and i managed to fix it by raising the voltage to 1.35V could it be my ram sticks? but even so everything seems fine with them even in memtest after the voltage change
