Hello, I have this board and my Dell 5150 has run perfectly since I received it 6 years ago. Now, I would like to upgrade the processor. I have a SL7Z9 Intel Pentium 4 630 Socket 775 3.0 2M 800 CPU and I also have a X300 D3A27 Video card (A ATI Radeon X300SE). 305Watt (H305N) Power Supply. I am wanting to possibly have quad core and an HDMI video card. Now the bad part. I am not a dummy, but I am a Mac Person from the beginning of Apple. I do understand PC's and Windows XP and the removal and replacement of components. However, I don't know what goes with what. I don't want to FRY the computer as it has worked great since I bought it. Thanks for your help in advance and sorry PC guys about me being a Mac Guy. Brad.

I installed this card in my 5150 and it works great. Be aware it takes up two slots but the fine folks at Sapphire sent me a single slot which I attached and the thing works great. I have it connected to my HD monitor via HDMI.

Whether or not the processor will be "good enough" for a better video card depends largely what you want to do. If 3D gaming, it will probably be a bit of a bottle neck, even with the graphics card recommended above. If you want to play blue-ray movies, the card recommended above with the P4 might work just fine, as the video card has hardware acceleration for that task. If you just want to put a computer screen onto your HDTV, it should also work fine.
