[SOLVED] Usb Sound card too quiet (Xonar U7 MKII)

Hi, I recently Bought a Xonar U7 MKII Usb sound card, a audio technica ath-m50x and mod mic 5

But the sound isn't loud enough, its about the same as the on-board audio volume. which is about 50-60% of what i need.

I use to run a Xonar Phoebus internal sound card, but unfortunately it made alot of noise on my mic.
The External dac has been wonderful for the mic, but terrible for audio volume.

I've installed all the u7 drivers, i don't believe it's a driver problem, i'm running it on the highest gain, the lowers ones are quieter but not by much.

Appreciate any help i can get

Z390 Asrock Phantom Gaming
9350KF
980ti
.....? It's an external sound card, so it's plugged into the back of my pc into usb 3.1

From what I just read the Xonar U7 MKII is supposed to be used conjunction with a separate headphone amplifier.
