Video card problem?

From some time I hear my video card fan (while I watch a movie or am not on the PC) speed increase.. its like its not on idle like im playing hardcore game, haha. But if i just move the mouse it slows down back to normal and after few minutes it goes loud again. I tried to disable screen saver for some reason but it had no effect the problem still exists... any ideas?
PS. GeForce 550Ti Sonic 1gb ddr5 -

Used compressed air to clean out the case, GPU, and CPU fans lately? Check to see if all the fans are operational.

Use CPU-Z/GPU-Z to monitor your temperatures and see if they are high.

I was just thinking the same .. i'll do so and see what I get
