Hi, so my job is a video editor and I am a very big gamer, I was currently saving up to build a new PC. Unfortunately, my current PC motherboard which I built in 2014 has just packed in, so I need to build a new PC ASAP but I do not currently have all the money for the full build so I am planning to use some temporary parts which I will upgrade once I have the money.

Approximate Purchase Date: ASAP for Temporary Build

Budget Range: £1,700 Full Build, £800 Temporary Build

System Usage: Video Editing, Gaming.

Are you buying a monitor:
No

Do you need to buy OS: No

Location: West Midlands, England.

Parts Preferences: Not Really bother but looking at AMD for CPU

Overclocking: Yes in the future.

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: Video Editing 3840 x 2160 , Gaming 1920x1080 144hz (For now upgrading to 1440p in future)

Additional Comments: I would like it to be pretty quiet.
Software I use for work: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve.
Games: Overwatch, CS:GO, Rust, WoW, Rainbow Six Siege, any future FPS.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My current PC is old so I needed a new one for work. Current PC motherboard broke.

This is the final build I came up with, any advice or suggestions on it.

Thanks for getting back to me.

At the moment I would say about 6 months from now until I can do the permanent build.

From the reviews I read, Adobe favours Cuda more and DaVinci gains from OpenCL, I use Adobe software more than DeVinci that is the only reason I went with Nvidia but I have no issue going with RX 5700XT if it is not much performance loss.

I know air coolers are good but I would try and get an All In One watercooler for the 3900x. It has a lot of cores and would let out a lot of heat. I would also recommend getting a fully modular power supply as they are much better for cable management unless cables don't bother you. I would also recommend a 5700xt over the 2070 Super.

Thank you so much.

Quick question, when I upgrade the ram in the future can I just add two more sticks of 8 or switch the two 8 for two 16.
