Hello, I am running several processes on my computer, programs for recording midi etc... i am using cakewalk UA-25 ex interface/audio output and my music skips constantly. Also, the computer has slowed down significantly... So, I'd like to fix the audio output skipping problem, and speed up the system however I can, including deleting startup programs (dont know how)... Help/Suggestions?

In the search bar on start menu, type msconfig. Choose selective startup, then i think the tab you want is startup. From here you can stop a lot of programs from starting on bootup. Also check the services tab, but i'd recommend using the "hide microsoft services" option before tinkering there much.
