[SOLVED] Walmart Gateway 14.1" Ryzen 3 Laptop

Hi,

I have the Walmart Gateway 14.1" Ryzen 3 Laptop, GWTN-1412BK, I have added 16GB of ram for a total of 20GB but my dedicated GPU memory still says 512MB. I have another laptop with the same CPU and it says 2.0GB of dedicated GPU memory. I looked on the BIOS and I could not find the settings in order to increase the dedicated GPU memory, has anyone of you been able to locate it?

It doesn't matter. It's all system shared RAM. The Vega 3 integrated GPU uses whatever system RAM it needs. It's not a dedicated GPU and doesn't have its own VRAM; the 512 MB is just the base it uses. If it needs more, it will use more.

Doesn't matter. It's just going to be naturally slower in any case, which is another reason why people are always encouraged to use fast RAM for Ryzen APUs. What you're worried about here is just an accounting fiction.

So if a Ryzen APU accepts a maximum ram speed of 2400mhz, should I go higher?
