ok i have a Amd Phenom 970 Black Edition 3.8 OC
on Asus Sabertooth 990fx
idle 49.0C on AI SUITE II
idle 57C on Speedfan
idle 57C on Core Temp
im using stock fan that came in the box with the processor and i know this is way to high for it. links or names of some reliable and good air cpu coolers, not going to use liquid cooled. air cooled only.
i have a azza solano full tower case

Just cause its popular doesn't mean its good. Its actually kinda bad but its decent for the money it costs.

Op if you want good air cooling you really have about the options. The phantek, the noctua nh-d14 and the thermalright silver arrow. They are the best air coolers and about ten degrees cooler then the 212+
