A zoner is a football kick intended to make defending team to be
offside, ie in the wrong zone at the right time.
A FPS is a fragmentation/penetration shell, a type of mixed artillery
submunition used against lightly armored targets such as TU16's or
PDP-11 'Frontloader'.

HTH.

Oh, I see. That'd be when the lightly armored target is the opposing
football team.

in king of the hill, someone in the zone

elsewhere, someone who uses to stay in a zone, not running all over the map

🙂

Seemed too obvious but I don't stay in the same place.
