LG UltraGear 27GN650-B IPS 27" FHD 16:9 144Hz FreeSync / G-SYNC Compatible
I bought it in August this year.
It started doing it after being left for 2 days without turning it on.

It's doing this flickering which is like clockwork. Every time it does it, it buzzes (high frequency sound).
Does it on no input, HDMI and DP, all refresh rates, all resolutions. (When I set it to 75hz, the buzzing gets REALLY loud, in conjunction with the flickering, which gets way worse)
It seems like the flickering is rhythmic, whatever the refresh rate is, it's almost always the same interval between clear picture and utter distortion.

What is this? Anyone got any ideas? I'm thinking of RMA.
Thank you in advance.

[EDIT]

I eventually RMA 'd the unit.
I hope this helps whomever stumbles upon the same issue.
Take it back while you still can!
Cheers.

it looks pretty dead to me]

Could try a reset?

Factory Reset

1. Press "Menu" on the monitor to open the Monitor Setup window, then press "Menu" again.
2. Press the down arrow button to highlight "Factory Reset," then press the right or left arrow button to select "Yes."
3. Press "Menu" to reset the monitor's settings to a factory default state.

otherwise RMA probably best option.
