I have a v3 1000 and a spare pentium heatsink that is laying around. I would like to mount the heatsink and get the card from 128/128 to 166/166. I've ran the card at 141/141 and haven't dared to any higher with no heatsinks. The memory is rated to 166mhz and it won't let me overclock the memory seperately. Back to my question what kind of glue is strong but has good heat transfer??? I know artic silver adhesive is the right stuff to use but i don't wanna spend $15 on glue for a card that isn't worth jack. I've heard J.B. weld has good heat transfer but im not sure so i haven't tried it.
