I am looking to add case fans to my current: MasterBox TD500 Mesh case.

I am wanting to add a

MASTERFAN MF120 HALO

for the rear of my case which is 120mm.

I would also like to add some for the top but i am not sure which ones? Can i just buy more of these ones or will I have to buy 140mm?

Additionally, will i need any additional cables to plug them in and make them work? My mobo is: Asus Prime Z490-A

Can someone please explain to me if I need to buy any additional cables in order to connect the fans and if these fans are okay? Im looking to add 2 at the top and 1 rear. thank you

Fan Support - Top3x 120mm, 2x 140mm
Fan Support - Front3x 120mm, 2x 140mm
Fan Support - Rear1x 120mm

above is from your case spec sheet; looks like you can use 120 or 140 top and front; 120 only in the rear.

Offhand, it is unlikely you will need additional cables. The cables on fans are typically long enough to reach the necessary connector. You can always buy extensions later if needed.

Would it be better to use a 140 or a 120mm? What one would look nicer in term of appearance?

Appearance is PURELY up to you. I have no idea what you think looks good.

"Better"?? Meaning less noise? Meaning lower temps? Meaning lower cost? Meaning look better to you? Meaning what?

If 2 fans are IDENTICAL other than diameter, the 140 should move the same amount of air with lower noise or more air with the same noise. The 140 would likely cost more.

Take your pick.

It is very unlikely it would make a critical difference when all is said and done.
