So I searched online for info, but got mixed opinions everywhere.

My build:
I5 9400f
GTX 1070 8GB Evga
24 gb of RAM

I'm planning to upgrade to 1080Ti - but will my CPU be a bottleneck? Is it a bottleneck already for 1070?

I mean I play all the games on ultra from 2018 with 60 fps (I don't need more), but games after 2018 start to stutter a little bit and I need to put some settings on normal.

So should I upgrade CPU first?

Solution
1080p 60fps

I got one 16 gigs 2400 and one 8 gig of 2400
At best this will work in a hybrid mode where 16Gb works in dual channel and 8gb works in single channel. At worst it’s working in single channel.

If only aiming for 60fps your cpu is good. A 1080Ti is a bit over the top for 1080p 60Hz, you might be limited by your cpu/RAM in some games but it won’t matter as you will be over 60fps.
