Hi!

I have a HP OMEN 16-k0011ns with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU, and an Intel Iris Xe Graphics.

In the OMEN Setup utility, in configuration, it has the option Graphics Switch which has the following description: "Select switch of SG/PGE graphics device should be the primary display". It has two options: "NVIDIA Advanced Optimus" and "Dedicated".

What does dedicated mean? Which graphic card is the dedicated one?

Thank you.

Thank you so much for your answer.

I'm asking this because I have bought a HTC Vive Pro 2 and its setup program doesn't find DisplayPort signal. I have connected a USB-C to DisplayPort cable to the Link Box without success. This is why I'm trying to force the use of the NVIDIA graphic card in all ports, included the USB-C ones.

This laptop has: 2 Thunderbolt™ 4 with USB Type-C® with 40 Gbps signal rate (USB powered, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge).

Thanks.

Hmmm....

Either the Display Port to USB-C adapter doesn't work; OR you need to configure laptop BIOS to make it to send video signal via Thunderbolt 4.
I have tested the adapter with a monitor and it works fine. I have also been able to play Doom Eternal at 4K without any problem using the USB-C to DisplayPort adapter. I have no idea about what's happening.
