Question What's the best data recovery software for Android?

I had to reset my pixel 4xl and since the Google drive backup software failed to back up my text messages they are now gone. I also lost a lot of lecture audio recordings I need for class. I looked around for some software to help me but everything looks sketchy so thought maybe someone here would have some experience with data recovery.

I've already called around for an actual data recovery company to help but that costs around 500 dollars and thats just too much. Around 100 dollars is what I'm okay with spending.

Any help on this would be a life saver!

The truth sometime hurts... What there $500 guys are going to do is most probaby to disassemble your phone, and connect a test equipment directly to the flash chips, to try to extract some info. But even that can't help if "Factory Reset" is properly executed. Read an article or two on how flash memories work.

Right the thing is that I have done some research and found some branded software said to be designed to extract the (factory reset) information I need but like I said some of the stuff I found looked sketchy. So being someone who knows not very much about data recovery I came here to ask for advice on the subject.
All I end up getting is you're screwed and no particular reason as to why. Please understand how that might be a little frustrating considering my situation and how much I know about the subject.

There's usually something that can be done in any situation. I don't need anymore advice from you since you don't seem to be very open to solutions.

One of the reasons "Factory Reset" makes phones run faster is because it erases the flash memory (writing "1" in each and every cell). Flash memory works by either turning 1s into 0s, or erasing whole block of cells back to all 1s.
