Well i prefer csgo over cod simply because I like having to learn spray controls and having to use smokes and stuff to play strategically. It's really preference. If you enjoy spraying not having to care about recoil and all these attachments and upgrades and stuff, go with cod. If you want a game that required raw skill and effective teamwork, go with csgo. I like the latter so I enjoy csgo more😀

Was playing it pretty much exclusively every day for weeks, but am now at a point where I really don't see much sense in continuing.

I'm at about 98% complete with only two main mission side tasks to go, and one I've achieved 3 times but it won't give me credit for it.

I think what I'll do instead is go back to Ground Zeros and finish all S ranks, tasks, and Hard mode. I left it kinda early when TPP came out.

GZ isn't quite as polished in some ways, but it had some features I wish they'd left in on TPP.

Old COD used to be that way.

just got through @ ~147hrs. those end game options were rather disappointing. one of the first times i put all my effort into being the "good" guy, moderating between factions, saving as many lives as possible everywhere i went and
in the end i was just stuck with killing off at least 2 of the groups and re-irradiating a huge portion of the wasteland all over again. i would've been much happier just killing off the bad elements of the Institute and keeping the institute facility operational. really didn't mind blasting the BoS so much, they're always jerks. as it ended i was really hoping i could bring young Shaun along as a companion and give him weapons and shit. guess i'll just have to get back to it eventually and find out what he builds with his vacuum tubes and camera pieces.
never did meet the companion Curie. didn't mean Cait did you?
one thing i'm glad about in a weird way is that there is no NewGame+ mode or i'd probably be stuck playing it all over again. now i can start to get back to the 3-4 games i had meant to finish last year.

😉 http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Curie Still my companion. Cutest voice ever. I'll start a new game when DLCs get released and use the no settlement limit mod so I can build huge settlements.

Just started the Witcher 3. Got it for $29 in the Steam sale.

The female Vault Dweller is voiced by Courtenay Taylor who has done every game you can think of and them some but whom I know best as Jack from the Mass Effect games. And then Brandon Keener does quite a bit of voice work as well most noticeably as Drummer Boy of the Railroad. So you have Jack talking to Garrus Vakarian in Fallout 4. I thought I was going crazy before I realized it was indeed the guy who does Garrus.

was great my first playthrough, have loved all 3 of them. just restarted my NewGame+ with Witcher 3 this afternoon. had gotten a few hours into it when the "DLC" offering the option first came along but then other games just keep coming. will have to hurry through before Dragon's Dogma for PC rolls around.

My favorite game at the minute is DayZ ihave been playing it with friends and it just never fails to get my heart beat racing and on the edge of my chair, like today i had a SKS assault rifle semi auto pretty powerful and i made one wrong move and lost my gear to a guy that had a magnum (which is till good) this is a weapon that i should beat 9/10 but this time i didn't, anyway my point is its a game where anything can happen you can go form Hero to Zero in seconds and it just has me coming back each day........ 😀

I'm about 7 1/2 hours into The Witcher 3. It's fun and it looks great. I'm just not emotionally invested in the world like I was with Fallout 4 though. Every little thing you come across in Fallout 4 is like a little easter egg hidden there just for you, as a fan of the series, to find. I tried to play the Witcher and The Witcher 2 but I just didn't like them.

This is a great game so far and I see spending quite a few hours playing but I don't like the interface much at all yet. It's so obvious it was made for a controller and not a mouse and keyboard. The menus are clunky and hard to navigate.

Started playing Pillars of Eternity. So far I've learned that the devs went to great lengths to support the backers.

GDC's GOTY nominees are announced:

Wait till you see the choices that decide the ending. That will be a long time though.

I've finished Fallout 4 at 54 hours. My play time looks much smaller compared to you guys...lol

Like I said, I sided with the railroad and I had a hard time staying loyal. I almost wanted to betray the railroad and help the institute instead, but I decided against it. Blowing up the Prydwen was really nice. So was blowing up the institute. I didn't feel anything for Shaun though. He was dying anyway.

Now that it's over, I can get back to MGSV. I backlogged it as soon as I got Fallout 4, which was nearly 2 months ago.

I think I'm sitting on 154 hours in Fallout 4. I'm done until some DLC gets released then I'm starting over with some mods.
I stuck with the Minutemen and blew up the Institute ( that explosion was freaking awesome! ) without making any other enemies. So I can still do Railroad and BoS quests. But as I said I'm done until some big DLCs come out.

About 15 hours into the Witcher 3 now. It's a great game but I'm still hating on the fast travel system and clunky menus. Also as I said before, I didn't play the older Witcher games so I'm not emotionally invested in the backstory like with Fallout. Don't get me wrong though the Witcher 3 is an amazing game that I'm really enjoying. The longer I play, the more I like it.

Dragon's Dogma has finally come to PC and i've been looking forward to playing. but, after checking it out on a friend's ps3 it seems like rather boring combat and very bland graphics. hoping there are improvements i'm not seeing for the coming PC version.

keep thinking i'm going back in to Fallout 4 to totally max out my settlements but waiting for more new content like anort3 mentions seems like a better idea. by that time there will also be many quest, character, and option MODs to add. rather than burn-out now enjoying it all over again later is usually a better idea.
also getting back into Wild Hunt again. but, that shit is hard on NewGame+ and highest difficulty. definitely need all the potions, oils, and spells for this run.

I guess HL3 is most awaited game, anyone knows when it is coming out 😛 any info?

Just got Fallout 4, and will start playing it today.

I figured I might need a guide, so I read some of the FAQ, character building tips, and a few other details about the game here: http://guides.gamepressure.com/fallout4/

I was glad to see there's a way to get the Cryolator early in the game. I just hope they haven't patched that exploit, if it even IS one.

I will probably have a few questions for those of you whom know the game well. One I can think of right off the bat is, are community chests in this game safe to use, or can they be robbed, like in STALKER?

Also, if anyone knows of a better guide, feel free to link to it if you would please.

Oh, also, I plan to set Pip Boy to auto saving, which I've read it does every 5 min, but how are saves structured? Does it just keep overwriting one quicksave, or are there a list of several to go back to?

I imagine a game this detailed requires knowing exactly what save would load you just before making drastic changes or decisions, so that is important to know. I'm hoping I won't have to copy and relocate one autosave every time I make a major change or try something new.

Also, if those of you whom know the game well could look at the several character build types shown in the guide I linked to, and tell me which one is most like yours and why you prefer it, I'd appreciate it.

Thank you

The only community chests are the workshops in settlements and you will need the Local Leader 2 perk to assign supply lines. Once you have supply lines established then what you have in one workshop is available in all the settlement workshops that supply lines are assigned to.

I used the Cryolator once. I didn't find it terribly impressive.

I just hit F5 a lot to save. A habit from all the previous Bethesda games I've played. I don't use guides so much as just google as needed. It usually leads me to the Fallout wiki.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_Wiki

Edit: Other than taking the Local leader perks early ( if you decide to build settlements, totally optional ) just use the perks like you would in any Fallout game. I tend to use rifles and energy weapons so I stack those perks. Also I got to level 80 something and was still adding perks when I leveled up so if there is a cap I haven't got there yet.

^Nice to know at least that the chests are linked once you get the right perk for it.

As far as I'm concerned, any Wiki IS a guide, and often times they're more detailed. I'll take a look at the one you linked to.

On your edited paragraph, please don't assume I'm familiar with Fallout games, as I'm not, not at all. I only played a very little bit of the beginning of FO3, and that was it.

Otherwise I really wouldn't be asking these questions. Consider that you know them well, yet still look at wiki info, then think what it's like for me.

Also, I'm not really expecting the Cryolator to be a carry through the whole game weapon. I just want something that will make the start of the game more bearable.

I was thinking of going with the first character build mentioned in the guide I linked to, the one he called Universal Soldier, and carry the general weapons he recommended, (melee, pistol, assault rifle, and sniper rifle).
