Hi,
I'm trying to build a homeserver from stuff I have on hand.
In general, I have a Chinese motherboard MACHINIST E5 RS9 to this a friend is to send three SAMSUNG PM863a 960GB drives. The motherboard supports SATA 3.0 drives.
I still have an old HP P212 sas controller with 512MB of memory. I read that it only supports SATA 2.0
In this situation it seems better to connect the drives under the motherboard but I wanted to know your opinion.
