WHich GFX card? >_< getting confused

I have the Gigabyte 970a-UD3 motherboard. was running a geforce 8800 GTS (old i know) but recently it SEEMS to have given up.. so stuck with onboard gfx atm. Looking for a reliable future-proof replacement for a Maximum of £100 more money saved the better as i dont game much atm but still want a reliable system because i never know when i might again!

What is your PSU? in that price range you are looking at the AMD 7750 or a 7770 if you can get it for that price. Well i guess if it ran an 8800 before your psu should be fine for either of those cards.

I was actually looking at the GTX 650 ti aswell ;P although i've probably looked at half the market in the last 2 days!! >_<

The 7770 is better than that card. Get the 7770, or if you can push your budget to 109, get the GTX 650 Ti i linked.

ok.. think im going to bite the bullet and go for the gtx 650 ti.. BUT because i worry so much could you please just confirm for me that my motherboard supports it.. >_< im 99% sure myself but i always seem to need clarification from another source to allow purchases in my head =D

You will not see any difference in performance going from PCI-E 2.0 to 3.0 and PCI-E are backward and forward compatible, so that is not an issue.

Yes a PCI-E 2.0 slot will not bottleneck a PCI-E 3.0 card, or if it does it will only be by a small margin so you're not likely to notice the difference.

Yes the GTX 650 Ti will work in your motherboard/system (just wanted to be clear so you wouldn't have any doubts ).
