Hello! Currently, I am a laptop user, but in the new year I want to buy a PC (or even build it myself). I have a friend, who has a PC, and he is ready to sold it. But the question is the price. He built his PC in the end of 2016, ant it was almost top configuration: i7 6700k, ASUS Maximus Hero VIII and Zotac GTX 1080 AMP Extreme . But it is clear, that this config isn't top for now. The other components (PSU, RAM, cooler etc.) are ok for me, I mean, that I know, that other components are good. But my friend want about 600 euros for the CPU, motherboard and GPU. Are you think it's worth it? In fact I searched some sites with used PC components and there are some offers of i7 6700k+Asus Maximus VIII Hero for about 300 euros and Zotac GTX1080 Extreme for 300 euros. But isn't it better to built a PC new components like Intel 10th generation and RTX 30XX? Which analogs you can suggest? Which are the analogs in terms of performance and how much do they cost?

To understand better the full config:
CPU Intel Core i7 6700k
Motherboard Asus Maximus VIII Hero
GPU Zotac GTX 1080 AMP Extreme

PSU Corsair HX750i
RAM 32Gb (8Gbx4) Kingston HyperX Fury 2666
Cooler Noctua NH-D15
Case Cooler Master Mastercase Maker 5 (+ 3 additional fans Cooler Master MasterFan 140 AP and also there is a GPU Holder)
HDD 2x WD Blue WD20EZRZ 2Tb

Monitor 27" Acer XZ271bmijpphzx (FullHD, 144Hz, VA)
Keyboard Motospeed CK108 USB 2.0 Wired Gaming Keyboard (mechanical keyboard)
Mouse Motospeed V10 USB Gaming Wired Mouse

The whole PC costs 1500 euro. Is it the good price? If not, which cost fits this config? My friend shows me all the receipts for all the components, so, the whole PC cost 2500 euros in the beginning of 2017, and now my friend sell it for only 1500 euros, and it is 40% cost reduction. And it seems fair. What do you think?

P.S. This guy is my good friend, so I trust him that the PC is in ideal technical condition. Also, he is quite busy, so he used his PC less than 3000 hours during these 4 years (we checked it in the Crystal Disk Info, and it is real hours of usage since the PC was built). But, both my friend and I are not sure about the price. He said to me, that he can reduce the price if I provide the reasoning. What can you suggest? Is it a good deal to buy this PC for 1500 euros? I don't want to buy the PC as cheap as possible, I want the fair price for me and my friend.

Solution
Take your $1500, and instead get a B550, R5-3600 (5600X if you can find one!), and a GTX3060 Ti...

You can get a case for $60, 16 GB of RAM for $70, a 600/650W PSU for $70, and find a Samsung 970 EVO 1 TB on sale if possible...

You'd probably have change when all is said and done, and, be MUCH faster and better off! (A 3060 Ti pretty much matches a basic RTX2080 in most games!)
