I found a 27-inch 1080p (180$) and a 23-inch 2k monitor (250$) as the link below

1080p 27 inch 75Hz curve screen: https://www.hanoicomputer.vn/man-hinh-thinkview-27-ca27-led-75hz
2k 23.8 inch 60HZ Dell: https://www.hanoicomputer.vn/man-hinh-dell-p2421d

Does the 2k 23.8-inch monitor look better? I mean the 1080p one has curved and 75Hz, cheaper and especially larger. I also know that Nvidia has something called DSR which allow you to upscale your native resolution. So a 27 inch 1080p is better than 23 inch 2k right?

Solution
Is this for gaming? If yes what gpu will you be using and are you wanting to play the latest AAA games?

Personally I don’t like 1080p on 27”. It is just not sharp enough due to low pixel density and I find text really annoying to read. 1440p at 24” is pointless in my opinion. I would consider either 24” 1080p or 27” 1440p.

Yeah, I want to upgrade my PC to RTX 3070 and i7 10700 this February. The problem is I don't have enough money for a 27" 1440p, 24" 1080p isn't much better than my current 21" 1080p monitor. So it's so hard to decide

If you drop down to a 3060Ti could you do a 27” 1440p? Have a look at the benchmarks, the 3060Ti is only very slightly slower than the 3070 and here it’s 20-25% cheaper. Actually the 3070 is now a bad choice because of its tiny performance increase over the 3060Ti for significantly more money.

I just got a 24.5" display to also pair with a 3060Ti and it's the absolute limit for 1080p. It works if I don't sit too close and my eyes strain more than with my old 23" monitor (the increased performances at this resolution compared to higher ones are worth it imo though). 27" is way too big for full hd, rather it's the canonical screen size for 2k. If you don't mind gaming at 60fps, go for the 2k one.

your doing it wrong lol, that 3070 could play games at 4k stable 60fps and your talking about buying low end monitors
Suggestion: Neither, save that cash, eat ramen and buy a legit monitor later on.

I disagree, it depends on the game. Modern AAA titles would run much better in 2k with this card. I have a 3060 ti which is barely weaker and I'd never try to go 4k.

The higher the resolution, the clearer the image.
Besides that, 1080p resolution looks bad even on smaller displays.

Between those two:
I’d choose the 2K display!

Well yeah, there arent many 4k gaming monitors out there yet, I would absolutly go with a 2k high refresh, but OP's original two monitors choices are really low end compared to his gpu.

I would reference this page https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/best/1440p-gaming-monitors for the best monitors
But to OP I still think you should hold off and buy a mid-high end monitor when you save up more cash, I have bought so much junk in the past only to regret it and end up buying a higher end replacement for it not even a year later.
If OP is american, we should have another $1400 stimulus coming soon, suggest taking $400 of that, throw in the money you have now and use that to buy a good monitor.
