Getting white dots appearing on screen in certain apps when I interact with anything, but only on my second monitor.

Just recently bought the ASUS VG27Q1A monitor and I'm noticing some white dots appearing on screen. I have it hooked up to my DELL laptop which has an rtx 3060 and an 11th gen intel core i7. Any idea how to stop these from appearing, or do i need a new monitor? Note: This is only happening in a couple apps and not on the built-in laptop display. They are connected via HDMI. [Picture 1: Second monitor after clicking some buttons in the app. Picture 2: Built-in display after doing the same thing.] Thanks for any help!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Does the panel have the same issue when plugged into another system? Also, might want to see if your Dell laptop is pending any BIOS updates. You can use your laptop's Service Tag on Dell's support page to narrow down a support list specific to your laptop. As for the laptop's OS, if you're on Windows 10, what version are you working with(assuming you're on Windows 10)?

Have you tried using another cable to tether the panel to laptop? Any hubs involved? Model for your Dell laptop?

I’ll answer a couple questions now. I’m running the latest version of Windows 11 and the Dell laptop is a g15 5511. I don’t have any other Windows systems I can easily access to see if it happens with other systems, but i have tried different HDMI ports on the monitor to no avail. There aren’t any pending BIOS updates for the laptop either. There are no hubs involved and I am trying to get another cord to test out the DVI port.
