When I'm at selective startup there's 3 options. Load system services, load startup items and use original boot configuration. The last one, 'use original boot configuration' is ticked but it's greyed out. Do I just untick the second one and continue?

Yes, that will do
Ok some good news (I think). So I did the default bios boot. The game launched first time. It launched with BattleEye (Fortnite’s old launcher that I could run the game with fine a few days ago). The one that never crashes my game. Should I try install EAC, the new launcher they want us to use? the one that keeps making my PC reboot when I launch with it?
Should I try it?
Slowly step by step. I will walk you through it after the bios update if you have not tried this yet if you wish to because it will restore bios to default aswell.Update: I booted in default bios settings like @LeftyPD said. I booted Fortnite, it booted with BattleEye launcher (the one that gives no problem) and it booted fine. So I then booted COD Cold War and it booted fine also. Then I installed the EAC launcher (the one that my PC reboots with) and I launched Fortnite again. It crashed. Then I tried to launch COD Cold War after and it also crashed?
Also, how do I undo what I just did (restoring my bios settings to default)?

Not how it works. Wattage and 80+ rating both mean jack. Build quality, and the components used inside the PSU are what matters more. When I first started reading this thread, I, too, had a knee-jerk "uh-oh, PSU" reaction. But then you mentioned your PSU is an 850. "X" or no "x", that's a pretty powerful unit.

Of course they're going to say that.I contacted the place I purchased it from and they told me that it’s not a problem with the PC itself but a software issue and to contact the makers of the game to resolve it. I’m not sure how true this is though?
Of course they're going to say that.
Blame it on someone else.
Does this happen with any other application or game? That’s true. Do you too think it’s the PSU? If you do what PSU would you recommend I replace it with? (my components are at the start of the thread)
Yes to COD Cold War every so oftenDoes this happen with any other application or game?
Where did you hear that RM PSUs are suspectible to black screen problems? @sizzling
This is a different game than what you refered to originally?Yes to COD Cold War every so often

Source of these games?
It seems like that might be the issue.Yes originally this problem was only with Fortnite. Fortnite’s old launcher (BattleEye) launches the game fine but the one they use now (EasyAntiCheat) makes my PC reboot. Then I noticed later it happened twice with COD Cold War.
It seems like that might be the issue.
------------------------------[SOLVED] - Easyanticheat crashes the game and automatically restarts my computer? HELP
Problem: Game crashes when it has easyanticheat, and shuts off my PC screen and then restarts itself. This is for my games with easyanticheat and they both don't work Rust and Apex Fortnite also has easyanticheat but it works SOMETIMES. I don't think it is my PC problem since I can play games...forums.tomshardware.com
Two Easy Anti-Cheat games reboot my PC on launch
"But Fortnite and Fall Guys almost always reboot my PC on launch, or shortly thereafter. I get the Event 41 error in Event Viewer: "

Completely unknown. So you think this problem will be fixed if I update my bios? I checked for my motherboard and there's a bios update from 3 days ago. I tried launching COD Cold War just now. It launched fine but rebooted my PC when I was searching for a game?
Completely unknown.
Updating the BIOS can't hurt (unless you do it wrong).
There will be explicit instructions at the manufacturers website. That's the problem lol, I don't know how to do it. All I know is I need to download it onto a USB, unzip the file and change the USB format to fat32. Reboot the PC and spam F2 or Del to get into the bios. From there I don't know what to do.

Do exactly what it says, exactly how it says to do it.
No more, no less.
But yes, if you do it wrong, you can brick the motherboard.
