To preface, I am beginning to gradually replace parts of system and was looking into getting a new monitor as well. The problem is, I am not sure if my Ryzen 5 1600 can handle gaming at 144hz. In the event that it cannot handle a 144hz refresh rate, what would be the next logical upgrade be for my CPU? Keep in mind that I plan to stay with Ryzen, as I am not interested in swapping my motherboard.
