I was going to buy a ryzen 3 2200g with a Gigabyte A320M-S2H but i thought i could buy a ryzen 5 2400g instead because I have the budget to do so, but I can't buy a better motherboard, so will the A320M-S2H work?

Yeah it will work, they're both am4 socket, you can buy bundles with that cpu and mobo :) I don't think you can overclock on that motherboard though if that is what you're planning, you will need b450 or x470 chipset for that

YES, that mobo supports the Ryzen 5 2400G CPU. You should be fine. Just make sure you update the BIOS of your motherboard, since doing this is important. Which Power supply do you have, and what are your other system specs ?

I assume this is the exact mobo model you are currently having ?

I have a SeaSonic S12II 520 watts PSU, and I do need to update bios to F10 right? Also, yes that is the MOBO

Edit: I won't overclock

Depending on the retailor it may already be updated. Some sites such as Newegg will post that it has been updated to accept the newer CPU's but if it's not listed on the site then you'll want to contact them to make sure.
