Hi all,

I am currently in the market for graphics cards following my recent PC build. Mainly the system is used for competitive multiplayer games where FPS is vital. However, I do wish for there to be room for 1440p gaming at decent games (no ray tracing except for Minecraft shaders I guess). Would an RX 7900 XT be a good bet for this?

Full PC specs are below:

Case: Montech Air 100 ARGB mATX
MB: Gigabyte B650M D3HP AX
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
RAM: Kingston Fury Beast ARGB 32GB (2x16GB, 6000MT/s, CL30 - EXPO currently active)
Cooler: Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240L Core ARGB
Storage: Kingston NV3 1TB PCIe Gen 4 M.2-2280 (main drive) and Patriot P300 256GB Gen 3 M.2-2280 (secondary drive for random junk)
Current GPU: Palit GeForce GTX 1650 (to be replaced eventually)
PSU: Corsair RMe 750W 80+ Gold

PSU: Corsair RMe 750W 80+ Gold
How old is the PSU in your build? You'd have been comfortable with an 850W unit off of Corsair's portfolio akin to yours but yes your platform should be good provided the PSU isn't old...relatively old.

For 1440p, you can look at something lower down the tree, like a RX 7800XT. If you're looking at a higher resolution, best to get a higher pedigree processor.

If you’re suggesting that, perhaps an RTX 4070 Super could be a better option?
