ok, i an concidering upgrading from 98se to xp prof. i have an aopen mobo w/the world renound via kt133a chipset (686b soutbridge)... now it took me awhile to get it running and i havent had a crash in over a year.... what kind of problems can i expect reguarding the 4in1 patch drivers and other various via related problems if i do upgrade....

....the birds seemed to be calling him, thought caw....

Personally I'd reccomend a clean install rather than an upgrade, either way, XP wuill intall its own drivers, there are some good 4 in 1's available now (cant remember name/version but the latest ones on viatech are decent)

The ones included with XP are v4.33. But, the current ones are v4.37. And as the others said, it would be to your advantage to do a clean install.
