I was trying to get the insider build for Windows 11, when PC Health Check told me my PC (Gigabyte b365m ds3, 16gb RAM, external nVidia graphics) is not qualified for an upgrade. Found my PC/BIOS is confirming to all requirements including TPM except Secure Boot.
When I tried to change BIOS values by disabling CSM and enabling secure boot, I found that my computer has stopped working and the boot gave 5 continuous beeps on every start.. After a few tries had to Fuse the CMOS Jumpers to clear CMOS and return to default state. After proper boot, I realized my bootable SSD with existing Windows 10 is MBR based and that could have caused BIOS level failure with secure boot..
What is the way out to handle this, and ensure that disabling CSM and enabling Secure Boot doesnt lead to a complete breakdown again..
Thanks and Best Regards,
Pavan
