So I tried to install windows 7 on my Medion s6421 laptop, but at the point where I normally should select a disk partition to install the system I cant get any further. It doesn’t show any hard disks… I already tried to install the sata controller drivers from the manufactor, but still no disks are recognized. I also tried to change the sata settings in the bios from AHCI to RAID, but still no results. Also tried MBR and GPT disk settings, but also no results. The bios detects the hard drive without any problem and I also can install windows 10 without problems, so the disk itself works. Anyone knows something I can try?

If you really need Windows 7, you can try to create a Windows 10 PE drive, and then replace the install.wim (or install.esd) with one from a Windows 7 image. However, Windows 7 may not support booting to your drive, especially if it's an NVMe drive. So keep those factors in mind.
