XFX Nforce 780i 3-way SLI RAM limit??

Hi guys.

I need help.

How much RAM does the Nvidia Nforce XFX 780i 3-way SLI Mobo support??

If i were to buy 16GB RAM would the motherboard support it all? If not, and i still went ahead with it in case i upgrade Mobo in the future what would happen if i put all 16GB in the Mobo even if it doesnt support it? Would it just read 8GB or would i come across BSOD's or other problems?

As it states in the manual,,, XFX 780i MB only surports 8 GB of ram,,,, Plus your PSU is way under powered for your system,,,
Just my thoughts on the matter,,
