XP networking

Me and my roommate are trying to set up a network between 2 boxes(both new and xp run fine on them) with a Linksys router. Both machines have good connections to the internet through the hub but we can't get file sharing to work. and my machine can't even see the other. (his can see mine but not access it). Any ideas?

hmmmm i think it would be a good idea to tell us what network cofiguration you have. did you set the IPs for each computer? are both computers joining the same workgroup? ladadda.

Try manually enabling shares within the OS. e.g. manually "share" the folder(s).
