XP SP1 does not see 200GB

I have a WD 200GB HDD installed on the Promise controller it shipped with. WinXP SP1, updated the atapi.sys per Q331958, but it (Computer Mangement/Storage) only sees a blank disk of 128GB. Even tried adding EnableBigLba=1 in the registry.

Any ideas why?

I had the same problem with my Maxtor DiamondMax plus 9 200GB. I got it working though. I can't remember exactly what I did, but it was some patch for Windows. I use Win XP Pro. Sorry I couldn't give you anything but a bit of comfort.
