Freezer pro for 3.7/3.8?!!! Even i7-920 D0 version can only do 4.2GHz with the prolimatech which is the best heatsink.
That is because you are going by what a website tells you. I know more than 6 users here on Toms that have D0's with Ziggy's, Core Contact's, Freezers old and new, Noctua's and Dark Knights and they all have tolerable temps when running anything between 3.5 to 4.2Ghz. Like I said I doubt the OP will be pushing his CPU that far. Makes no sense to run a D0 at anything past 3.8Ghz unless he is benching...
Of course my CPU runs cooler than a 920 but just so you can get an idea of how an AC Freezer can keep a chip cool..
At 4Ghz my CPU does not even reach 42c under prime load for more than 12 hours. At 3.6Ghz it maxes out at 38c and at 3.1Ghz it wont reach 32c. The Rev.2 beats the old 7 and 64 by a couple of degrees as well...
And like I said, the OP can look at the list from frosty and pick one if he is still undecided....
