Question 1080 TI backplate installation help **RESOLVED**

I have just purchased a backplate from coldzero for my GIGABYTE GTX 1080 TI GAMING OC card.
Unfortunately I am struggling to understand how to properly fit it.
The provided screws/nuts don't seem to be big enough (please see pics)
Any help greatfully appreciated.

From what I see is this...
White spaces go where you have the photo of the nut
the screws go through the backplate, into the white spacer, through the hole and a nut on the heat sink side
I suspect you have to remove the heatsink from the 1080ti first

Was I correct from what I saw, or was I wrong. Not having the product infront of me I can't give more information?

I had to use a little plastic wrench that was provided (I didn't include it in the pictures) to hold the nut in place under the PCB
