[SOLVED] 12V RGB Led Strip Sync via Splitter for NZXT H210 case ?

12V RGB Led Strip Sync via Splitter/Hub/Controller for NZXT H210 case.

Hi all,

So this is my very first time building on an ITX based system. Below are the specs:

• Case: NZXT H210 Case (not H210i).
• Mobo: MSI B450i Mini-ITX.
• RGB Led Strip: 12v from Amazon UK (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01IBUG8KQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).

I never installed a led strip for myself before so this is completely new to me.
I plugged the led strip into the 4 Pins 12v RGB on the Motherboard. But for the other end, I cannot find anywhere on the case to plug into.
Then I found out that I need some sort of controller, hub or splitter to be able to use MSI Mystic Sync so I can change the colour from the software.
This does not come with the case unfortunately.
At the moment, I connect the led strip to a Molex which sticks basically to one colour; purple.

I am now stuck on which items below are the correct one to order for my motherboard.
Some items below says it's for 5v and my light strip is 12v so I might not be able to sync or change colours (correct me if I'm wrong).

Please let me know how can I change colours on my RGB led strip. Many thanks.

From what i can tell you just connect the strip to the 4pins RGB header which powers the strip as well, download the MSI tool (Mystic Light) and let it detect the strip, you should be fine. The other end/connector on the strip is to extend with a second one afaik.

Vic40 has that exactly right. OP, you are worrying too much. A light strip (or other lighting device) must plug into a connector from a COMBINATION of Controller and header. Your mobo has two JRGBn headers at bottom front. You can plug one end of the strip into one of those. The strip comes with a little gender-changer adapter. IF you have a seocnd strip, you plug that adapter into the female connector open on the other end of the first strip to convert it to a male (with pins) so you can then plug the SECOND strip into the first. This is called a "daisy chain" connection scheme. The CONTROLLER you heard about is already built into your mobo, and its output header provides both power for the lights and control of the displays. You use the MSI Mystic Light utility to manage that controller and configure it the way you like.
