Question 12VHPWR cable is incompatible with the connector on the GPU ?

I bought a Cooler Master V2 Platinum 1300 ATX 3.1 PSU that comes with a right-angled 12VHPWR cable,
and a Gigabyte 4070 Ti Super Aorus GPU.

The issue is that because the connecter on the GPU is inset inside the GPU casing, the supplied 90-degree cable ( not the adapter) that came with the Cooler Master PSU doesnt fit into the 4070.

These are the options i seem to have.
1. use the stock nvdia adapter and risk it melting?
2. third party cable
3. new power supply

Any help would be appreciated

Hello.
The stock Nvidia adapter would do the job.
It is calibrated to provide the right amount of power to the card.
It won't get hot, unless the power source has a low cost cable connector.
As you already bought a quality PSU, i doubt that it will get warm...so we won''t expect to get hot.
