[SOLVED] 144hz With G Sync vs no G Sync

So I've been playing on my Dell s2417dg for a while now, it's a 144hz (165 oc) display with g sync. Recently, I built a desktop for a friend and got him a cheap 144hz AOC display without g sync. While it's definitely far better than a 60hz display, mine however feels far smoother than his, even when I'm not oc at 165hz. I'm wondering if this is because of the g sync? Mine feels far smoother even on the desktop, not in game.

I’d say what AOC monitor. Not a topic I am very informed about but I know there is more to monitor smoothness than just Hz.
