[SOLVED] 3060 Ti or 3070 ? Upgrading from dead 1080 Ti

My day was pretty bad, just went out of depression as my GTX 1080 Ti died today. Now I have to buy a new card and I’m totally unaware about these new RTX 3000 series, Ray tracing stuffs etc.
I’ve gone through many posts here and sorted out 2 GPU models till now - RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3070.
After deploying, my PC will only be purely used for 1080p ULTRA gaming. Titles like Cyberpunk, COD BO Cold War etc. And I don’t want a card that is overkill for 1080p gaming.
My questions are- Is any of these two cards overkill for 1080p ULTRA gaming for new games like Cyberpunk? If YES, should I consider 2080 super series or 2080? If NO, then what would you all suggest between 3070 and 3060 Ti?

The Card will be added to i7 8700k, Z370 board etc.

Id get the 3060Ti. I see the 3070 as very bad value, its barely any faster than the 3060Ti but costs a fair amount more.

Actually I went through this comparison b/w 3070 vs 3060 Ti. Here, 3060 Ti seems to be less powerful than 3070 which puts me more into confusion.

The difference is very small, not enough that you would actually notice. Here is an actual review

A 7.7% difference across a 9 game average for what an extra 20-25% cost?

OMG! I’m really sorry that I didn’t check this page. This picture cleared all of my doubt at once.
I’ll definitely choose 3060 Ti now, now the saved money will be used to buy a PSU. My PSU was the faulty here which burned down my 1080 Ti.
