Question Asus P7H55M problem

I've just bought an old pc. Dont ask me why, i just wanted to have another config. But i have a problem : it doensnt want to turn on anymore. It was perfectly working. But when i ve changed the GPU, no signs of life.
The pc wont turn on ans and the PSU make a strange noise, do you think it's where the problem is ?
The mother board is an Asus P7H55M with a I3 530.
I hope you can help me.

Apart from the make and model of the unit, are you able to learn how old the unit might be? Also, I have to ask on behalf of the community, why did you invest in an old system that's 11 generations behind what's available today?
