I am building a new pc, and starting to purchase parts but have yet to purchase the cpu and gpu. I would like to know what are best parts to to achieve good streaming and podcasting along with excellent gaming at 1440p
I’ve heard that I don’t need to invest in a 2080ti and that 2070 paired with a 2700X. I was going to with a i9 9900k. I’m a bit of an enthusiast but don’t feel the need to break the bank yet. But would still like to build a beast of a system.

Any thoughts or advice

What I currently have is:

Case:Nzxt S340 Elite
Monitors: Alienware 3440x1440 ultrawide 100hz/120hz oc and 2 dell s2716 DGR 144hz all gsync

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, definitely your choice. Probably 1070 and a i7 8700k is good enough but if you care about the performance then try 1660 ti, cheap but powerful, or 1070 ti and i7 9900k for betteer performance and a bit cheaper. 2070 is also good but the 20 series are a bit more expensive.

I’m using the Acer x34 predator at 90Hz with the RTX 2080 Dual OC and i7 8700K and tbh getting great results on ultra settings. I was originally going to go with the 2070 but if you do have the wiggle room and do want a beast setup it’s worth the extra few dollars. I can go upto 100Hz I just don’t see why but I’ve benchmarked it on 100Hz no worries. You can likely get the same results at 100Hz from a 2070 over most games but I figured that games will be more intensive over time so the 2080 future proofs it.
