Sorry, another "newbish" question here. When I swap video cards in my old machine what's the best protocol to use to:

1. Get rid of old drivers.
2. Ensure proper version of DirectX
3. Anything else I may be overlooking when I do it.

Any help would be appreciated...

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

If its a Nvidia card use detonator destroyer to clean the drivers out. Nvidia cards like screwing up other cards with left over drivers.

I would personally format my computer, thats not always an option though.

I love having 3 hard drives :smile: .

Detonator Destoyer isn't XP yet (IIRC), so you may be better of with Detonator RIP from Guru3D (they also have Detonator Destroyer and other utilities). DiverCleaner3 is also good.

Also some pretty clear/good instructions from Rage3D;
