Question Black screen after restart after resetting the laptop ?

I was resetting my Windows 10 laptop and after the reset was completed then at installation there was a request to restart the laptop and there's one issue earlier with the laptop that once it goes for power off while restarting it does not start on its own, ii just shows black screen but it is on , and we have to forcefully remove the plug and replug it again and then it switches on okay.

have you checked to see if new BIOS on the laptop as that could fix it. It sounds like the power settings are wrong. could try resetting bios to defaults, it might fix it.
have you tried restarting it like normal if its already completed update?

what type of reset did you do? Full or partial?

need to fix that restart thing as it will mess with any install process.

which lenovo laptop? I expect you can't update bios outside of windows... Might need to reset the bios if you can as its likely a power function that is out of order.
