Hi my friend gave me his RX580 8GB GPU to attempt to troubleshoot.
Tested it in my mobo & his, there is no output, it’s no signal on the monitor and im 100% sure it’s not the monitor or cable as it works for the iGPU
GPU-Z shows clock & memory at 0 and bandwidth is unknown, among other figure either being unknown or N/A
I have updated my mobo’s BIOS, and reset it to default.
i have also flashed the GPUs BIOS and put in the stock bios.
I have updated to the latest drivers. I’ve reseated multiple times & switched between the two PCIe lanes on my Mobo.
I’ve looked into most forums and tried doing everything to no avail.
I suspect there’s a part of the GPU that might require a repair, but the only person I’ve found who can do that, doesn’t want to share possible problems without my paying him.

I will upload the GPU-Z snippet and product info when I wake up.

Specs on my pc are:

CPU: i7-8700
Cooler: RaijinTek 240mm AIO
RAM: 32GB 2400MHz
GPU: ASUS Strix RX580 8GB
PSU: CM 650W
MOBO: Gigabyte Z370 HD3P
Case: Antec DA601
Storage: 256GB sata Samsung Evo870
Seagate 1TB HDD
Seagate 2TB HDD
Seagate 500GB HDD

the fans also don’t spin but I suspect that’s a fan stop as the GPU isn’t doing any form of work at all.

I also tried downloading the drivers from the AMD website and I got an error saying that it failed to load the display drivers.

I believe at this point that the GPU is bust. Would there be any way of fixing it?
