Core i5 low temp

I've seen my Core i5 running at 25C. Is that normal? Is that good? I'm not using any special cooling. I have a NZXS Blackline case which has 4 fans. And I'm also using the stock heatsink for the Core i5.

I have a C2D E7300 and crappy case with crappy cooling and airfolow.
My CPU idles at 29c.

Your is normal.


BTW you are the first person asking bout low temp.Everyone asks about high temps.

You must be at stock frequency. The idle temp of my i5@3.6GHz is 30C ;p

yes i am at stock frequency. how much can i safely overclock it without needing anymore cooling devices?

In "MY" opinion, you had better keep it within 10% of the stock clock.

easily 300-400mhz with stock cooling.
Or even more if load temps are good.
