Hello.

So I've noticed that my pc overtime got very slow. Couple days back I reset my pc. It somewhat helped to make it faster. But you cant compare it to the state when it was new.

In that case I am sure that my pc lags because of the overheating. Although this never was an issue at the start My PC has a very low cooling system. (only my cpu, gpu and psu have cooling fans) i dont have any other.

While playing heavy load games like The new Warzone my PCs core temprature stays from 95 to 100 C.

I've ordered a case fan but Im not sure that it will make a big difference.

Should i replace my CPU fan to a new one? Or are there any other steps that would help (I've tried cleaning the dusk ) ?

If so, what CPU cooling fan would you recommend for an i7-4770k @ 3.5GHz cpu? I also have a MSI gtx 970 gpu if that makes a difference.

Thanks.

Those are quite high temps and ca be cause of slowdowns. If it's originally mounted cooler, I would try first to change paste under the CPU cooler. Original paste tends to dry out after a while.

Solution
I am sure it has dryed out. because it hasnt been changed in like 3-4 years. But when I was cleaning the dust of my pc, I've tried removing the cpu cooler, opened it, moved it around for like 3 mins straight and it didn't remove although it was loose of the motherboard. Should i apply more pressure?

And also how big of a difference would replacing it make? Could that be enough to bring it down to 60C on a heavy load?

When attempting to remove cooler best way is to release latches, let it heat up by running a benchmark test, move slightly left to right and back until it breaks the seal.
Replacing paste (providing that it's main problem) should bring temps down to what they were when all was new and maybe even shave few degrees off if you use some good paste like Arctic MX-4 or Noctua Nt-h1/2.
