Hey everyone, I purchased a new CPU not too long ago with a Corsair H60x, originally the cooler worked fine (I think) but when I turned off the computer and turned it back on the cooling just magically got worse. My idle temps are incredibly high (usually sitting on 80 idle with nothing running) and get extremely hot when playing a game (91+). I went back to the store where I purchased the radiator from thinking it was faulty and exchanged it for a new one, I put on an entirely new thermal paste and made sure I used the correct seating and everything but it still ended up being just as bad. The heat gets to a point where it's damn near unsafe for me to hover my skin around my computer.
Here are my specs
AMD Ryzen 9 5900x (CPU)
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 (GPU)
Corsair H60X (CPU Cooler)
ASUS Prime B450M-A (MOBO)
Also as a note, I installed the Icue app and tweaked my fans to go as fast as they could (yes I purchased new fans too to see if it would be fixed and made sure they were all compatible with the Icue app) and nothing fixed it. I assumed that my purchase and investment into this new CPU cooling would make my CPU run at good temps but it seems like I was wrong and may need to invest in new CPU cooling (maybe). Please let me know if my cooling should be better or if I should invest in something new.
