Specs
Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x/Ryzen 7 5700x3D
GPU: RTX 4070 Super
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaw V DDR4 3200 16x2
Power Supply: EVGA Supernova 850W
Storage: Samsung 970 Evo Plus M.2 2 TB + Samsung 870 Evo 2 TB

I have upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 5 5600x to a Ryzen 7 5700x3D, no other components were changed in this process. Computer did not post, so I reset CMOS, which changed nothing. I then checked my RAM one stick at a time just in case to no avail. I then saw online that it might be because of my motherboard's BIOS being updated. I believed that mine was, but I tried to install the latest version via Q-flash+ before changing back to my old CPU anyways. This did not work and I was unable to get the motherboard to recognize the USB, indicated by three flashes and it hanging on the third until restarted. I then gave up on getting the new CPU to work and went through the hassle of reinstalling the old CPU. This also did not post and I became worried that something else had gone wrong. I tried resetting the CMOS again and it still didn't post. I then took apart the entire computer and rebuilt it again only to have the same issue. And now here I am, posting on a forum for any other suggestions before I end up buying a new motherboard before switching to AM5.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

If you look around the forums here(and other forums) you'll see people who moved to the Ryzen X3D for theAM4 platform have encountered a near similar issue, some were no POST scenarios.

you might want to use an older pen drive and format it to FAT32.

Thank you for trying to help, I have already followed this video and tried with two different drives only for the motherboard to hang on the third flash. I am also having no post after switching back to my older CPU.

After reinstalling the new CPU and attempting to follow the video again, I was able to get q-flash+ to work. I am now unable to turn off the computer and the CPU error light is on at all times. I don't believe the power button is the problem since it was just working and the pc attempts to turn on anytime the PSU is allowing power. What has gone wrong now? I will wait for a reply before changing anything else with the pc.
