I have 3 Questions for you guys:

1) When I open any folder, it opens with the explorer bar on the left (it
displays all the folders). This is pretty annoying, since I always have to
close it by either clicking on the X or on the "folder" button. How can I
disable this?

2) I customized most of my desktop icons, but the shortcut symbols (the
white things in the bottom left of an icon) dont look so good. How can i
change, or disable them?

3) How can I disable the Nvidia Desktop Manager? (it causes a problem with
costomized icons)

Thanks in advance.

1) Go to the "Folder Options" control panel, select the "File Types" tab at
the top, and select the (NONE) extension of type Folder. Click on the
advanced button, and in the actions window highlight "open", and click the
Set Default button. Then click OK, and OK again.

2) Can't help with this one. There used to be a utility called "Tweak UI"
that would let you edit the shortcut overlay. Don't know if there is a
version for xp....

3) If it is currently enabled, right-click on your desktop, and select nView
Properties. Uncheck the "enable nView Destop Manager" box on the Desktop
Management" tab. Select Apply, and then exit.
