I like it more than the original, the background looks great but the text is still not there yet, as mousemonkey says the team number is hard to read. The grey looks good, but at the same time I'm thinking it would look better if darker. I'm thinking the issue is stemming from your choice of font, but I'm not entirely sure. It looks almost as though part of the team number is deleted or somehow behind the lightening. I think at this point it's just a little bit of trial and error to find out what looks best, and I'm referring soley to the text on that one.

I modified the hammer and text. The text I changed the font. It was to large at the fonts and once I adjusted it just right it was too small. So I enlarged the font and split it up. Unless you want me to fix that to the old font just darker?

The Hammer I adjusted to blend a little better with the background.
 
I really like the new hammer to be honest, keep it that way. I know I recommended the gray text, but I think it was one of those bad ideas, it may actually look better being black, especially now that the hammer isn't grey. I still think the font/text needs work, you have the best so far in my opinion, but it's not there yet.

Remember this is your banner, not mine, nor am I your boss or the final decision maker on this. I'm sure you can come up with a way to make the text stand out a little bit more on your own, I've got some of my own ideas yet for ways to tweak it, but I don't want to walk you through step by step making what I want. I'm also curious what other members of the forum have for opinion too, I'm sure they will provide some more suggestions, I think I've done enough for now. lol

btw for about the next 2 weeks my pdd will probably be doubled what it was, i built my friend a desktop and going to be giving it to him at on the 20th but until then it's going to be a 24/7 folding, so now i've got a 460 275 a core i7 920@ 3.8ghz and a stock phenom II X4 955 at stock all folding

i did this with paint.net its a free image editing program very similar and with as much capability as photoshop...
 
hhhmmm thats a good improvement...but honestly i think my inverted red version is a little more stand-outish, so mroe people would notice it. so more people would fold for us :) and

Looking good though 😉 . I do like that red look. Lets see if there anything anyone else wants to add that may improve the look.

Although in my option, it good enough for me to use in my sig. 😀 (just need to shrink it to 400 x 75)
 

What comps are you folding with Warmon? I can't believe that you're only producing half of what I do(I don't fold all that much) yet you have so many comps up it seems.

I don't think it is worth it to have P4s folding as the electricity spent is not worth the PPD :??: .

I've been mainly folding with 1 computer which has been able to easily able to stay in the top 20 on the team but as we been getting closer to fall (mainly in the past 2 weeks) that people with computers that can make more than 1k ppds. Which is now pushing me out of the top 20.

As for why fold with a P4.

Well, the only family member that using heavily anymore it my mom. The most demand thing it does (other than now F@H) was some small flash games on facebook which wasn't really all that much.

As for electricity cost, Maybe i would worry about it if i was living in a normal house but with Military housing on Laurel Bay, Sc. 😗 The electricity is flat line and in incorporated into rent. So I could add 1k computers and still not pay extra.... Although i wouldn't abuse that kind of power would i :ange:

Well the Military does monitor the usage of resources and sends a letter to you if they think you're being wasteful on resources. (my dad just got one for geo thermal water heating i think it was just a few weeks ago. Although i think that letter was sent due to comparing a time frame of like april where it was only him in the new house and july where the entire family finally move in. So they didn't know they were comparing single person to a family of 6 and though he was being wasteful)

Now, i could be running the P4 on smp2 WU's as a while back i learned that it could complete it @ around 40Mins TPF with bouns points making it 400 ppds but with it not dedicated, it could be hitting and missing those.

So that why im running a p4. It because i can it still cures diseases and a extra cpu folding for the team. Now if my family was still paying the bills in terms of to a power company, i would just run on 1 computer.
 

I actually like the blue one myself. Or green. But I think what you had with black text on a blue background is just about perfect - the only suggestion I can make is that the text doesn't look quite hard-core enough for my tastes. Something like the current one mixed with courier (I'm a big courier fan :) )

But overall, great job!
