I have been all over AMD's site and I cant find anything similar.

If you are willing to spend over $100 you will probably see better results with just a discrete card.

IIRC you may as well fold with 3 slots. 1 for the CPU in the APU, 1 for the GPU in the APU and one for the GPU. In that case the 7870's and the R9 270x's are quite nice. I've never used an APU for folding though.

Welcome to THG and Team 40051 Thread!

I would also like to know how to get each slot to work with each component. How would I target each slot to its respected part?

Ex:

CPU -> CPU Slot
GPU -> GPU Slot APU GPU
GPU -> GPU Slot GPU Card

Like I said, I've never done it, but I think the GPU slot should recognize the dGPU and the iGPU. There might be some flag work involved, but I know APU's are supported. Highly memory bandwidth bottlenecked though, as usual.

I'm in tears here. First the GPU servers went down. When they came back up they were feeding me 8018s. Once I finished with those, the stupid servers went down again. I can't win.

Yeah, this is getting pretty bad. Vijay said they plan to have the alternate GPU Assignment server up later this week - it looks like it can't come soon enough. He said he is not sure what is wrong with the current AS - the hardware might just be on its last legs. Hopefully we will only have to deal with this nonsense for another couple days at most. The stats servers have been pretty flaky as well.

Thanks! Sounds like a handful. I haven't been folding in around 6 months since my GPU became unstable and my CPU overheats. Got that all fixed now though! New cooler and GPU, just need to install it all.

Just though I should clarify that I am bubbleawsome there. Kinda confusing otherwise.

It looks like there is a new beta client heading our way. Apparently the current clients aren't coded to look for a second GPU assignment server (probably because there never was one before). The new server is up, but you can only access it with the new client. I don't know if this is the only change to the new client or if there are a bunch of others as well. We are supposed to get more official info today.
